137 in a little hatch like that isn’t bad at all. Did it handle ok at that speed?

Well I wasn’t driving (I plan to return soon when I’m 21), but you can see from the picture it was a little too shaky for a still image. It didn’t feel sketchy from the passenger seat tho, and at slightly lower speeds we could take those long sweeping turns with confidence. Nice interior, useful little car for sure.

*sigh* another great-looking, (probably) great-performing, fuel-frugal car that the government of the largest western capitalist economy is keeping its citizens safe from. Thanks, Washington

P.S.: looks like terrific fun!! Full report after 21st Geburstag, OK?

That’s faster than I got the b180 Mercedes I rented, it was limited to a mere 195 km/h.

I think the only thing the car is missing really are sliding doors. Reminds me a lot of my family’s old Mazda 5, which was also a great car for what it is supposed to do, same with this BMW.

As for my post-21st birthday trip, it will definitely posted to oppo.

Nicely done!

I got my rental 116i to 210 km/hr but it took forever to get there and seemed to have nothing left to give. For a cheapish car, it was amazingly stable at high speeds.

Seems about right.

My dad took his old bmw to the guy he always takes it to (a bmw specialist) and he said that high speeds are more stable because of a smoother underside of the car. So there’s that.

It didn’t have anything left really after 220 (Though the GPS stated it was around 210...). We reached it 2 or 3 times though, quite tough with the traffic sometimes.
